You have probably noticed storm drains around your building. Many times you will find them on roads and parking lots. The problem with large paved areas is that the rain water has nowhere to go, and it could easily lead to flooding of roads and parking lots making them unusable. The same happens in the spring when the snow melts in the warmer weather.
The problem is, if you have an issue with a storm drain, the only time that you will notice it is when the rain is coming down and it isn’t doing it’s job. Because of this it is a worthwhile investment to have storm drains on your property on a regular maintenance schedule. That way you’re much less likely to have a nasty surprise in the middle of a heavy rainstorm. A flooding storm drain could allow water to flood into your property or put cars underwater, causing all kinds of expensive damage.
