Owning a dry cleaning business comes with its own set of challenges. While any business you own will have legislation that needs to be followed, not all businesses deal with dangerous substances like a dry cleaner does. Naturally, your main concern should be the safety of yourself and your employees, not just passing an inspection. So, what are the dangers? When machines are left open they can release chemicals into the air that are harmful for humans. The same is true for containers that aren’t closed properly. While some exposure to these gasses isn’t harmful, you shouldn’t expose yourself unnecessarily.

Some of the chemicals are also highly flammable, so that adds another danger which requires care in their handling. With all the mechanical equipment that is used in a dry-cleaning business, a spark could easily set off a fire that could be hard to extinguish, especially with the amount of fabric that could end up becoming fuel for a fire.
