When you hear about Radon gas you might think that it is more of a concern in a residential setting, and while it is true that the gas is more dangerous with long-term exposure, high levels of Radon gas in your place of business could harm you and your clients or customers. Radon gas is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking, so it can prove to be quite lethal.

Radon is a radioactive gas that is found in the ground, and it will usually seep into homes through the basement. You can’t really predict where it will come out, and because of the way things shift around with time, it could change, so it is important to have regular tests performed.

If there are high levels of Radon in your building, you might need to have Radon remediation performed. This is usually done by having trenches dug underneath the building that will funnel the gas out and release it harmlessly outside.
