Hotels have a very unique set of needs when it comes to inspections. As with most larger businesses, the inspection will usually just be done for a sampling of rooms, giving you an idea of what the state of the hotel as a whole is. One important part of a hotel inspection is looking for pests. Very few things have such a major impact on the impression of guests as finding pests in their hotel room. While not all guests will be as attentive, some might do a fairly thorough inspection of their own before settling into the room. Bedbugs, in particular, are a major bane of hotel owners since they easily can spread from room to room when brought into the building.
While doing as thorough of an inspection as a guest would do of the room they are going to stay in can become too time-consuming, being armed with the tools and knowledge necessary to do a good job will put your inspector at an advantage.
